Islanders at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -127 Favorites

The Islanders wrap up a three-game road trip on Thursday when they visit the Panthers. New York beat Tampa Bay 5-1 on Monday as a +155 underdog, rebounding from a 3-1 loss at Dallas two days earlier as a +125 dog in the opener of the trip. The UNDER is 7-0-2 in the last nine for the Islanders. Florida lost to Tampa 2-1 at home on Tuesday in a pick’em matchup, snapping a two-game winning streak, with the UNDER improving to 4-0-1 in its last five.

Bruins at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -137 Favorites

The Bruins will be playing a tough back-to-back situation on the road when they visit the Lightning after suffering their fourth straight loss 3-2 to the Capitals on Wednesday. Boston has also gone 5-5 the last 10 times when playing the second game of a back-to-back. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has alternated wins and losses in its past six, last putting together a positive streak in winning three in a row back on November 25. But the Lightning have won eight of the previous nine meetings with the Bruins.

Blue Jackets at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -178 Favorites

The Penguins will try to avoid dropping two straight home games for the first time this season when they host the Blue Jackets. Pittsburgh owns one of the league’s best home marks at 12-4-2 but suffered one of the losses on Tuesday when Montreal won 4-1 as a +120 underdog. Columbus is just 4-6-3 on the road yet ended a five-game losing streak away from home with a 5-2 upset at Washington as a +190 underdog on Monday.

Predators at Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -127 Favorites

The Predators take a two-game winning streak to the road when they visit the Sabres. Nashville has won its last two games at home as a solid favorite each time, defeating New Jersey (6-4) and San Jose (3-1) both by two goals. Buffalo is 9-3-3 at home so far this season after upsetting St. Louis 5-2 there as a +110 underdog on Tuesday, with the OVER cashing for the fourth time in five games. This will be the first meeting of the year between them.

Golden Knights at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -125 Favorites

The Golden Knights kick off a brief two-game road trip when they visit the defending Stanley Cup champion Blues. Vegas is coming off a 5-1 rout of Chicago as a -220 home favorite on Tuesday, as goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury returned to action and had a shutout until there were only 27 seconds remaining in the game. Fleury had missed the previous seven games due to personal reasons stemming from the death of his father. St. Louis will be looking to end a three-game losing streak here but has won the past three meetings and four of the last five.

Blackhawks at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -157 Favorites

The Blackhawks meet the Coyotes for the second time in five days after the latter won 4-3 in a pick’em matchup at the United Center on Sunday. Chicago lost again 5-1 at Vegas on Tuesday as a +180 road underdog while Arizona fell 5-2 to Calgary the same day as a -135 home favorite. The Coyotes have won four of the past five meetings following a nine-game series losing streak against the Blackhawks between March of 2015 and December of 2017.

Maple Leafs at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -110 Favorites

The Flames ride a season-high six-game winning streak into this matchup with the Maple Leafs. Calgary is coming off a 5-2 victory at Arizona on Tuesday as a +115 road underdog, with the OVER cashing for the fourth time in as many games. Toronto is 2-0 so far on a four-game road trip, beating St. Louis and Vancouver by a combined score of 9-3. The Maple Leafs have won four of the past five meetings with the Flames, with the UNDER going 4-1.

Rangers at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -155 Favorites

The Sharks return home from a disappointing four-game road trip to host the Rangers. San Jose went 0-4 on the trip, getting outscored 18-5, including 15-3 in the last three. The Sharks hope to halt a five-game losing streak overall too and fired head coach Peter DeBoer on Wednesday after failing to score more than two goals during that stretch. New York continues a four-game road trip, with the last three taking place in California, after losing 3-1 at Los Angeles on Tuesday as a +105 underdog. The Rangers upset the Golden Knights 5-0 on Sunday as +170 underdogs to open the trip, and the UNDER is 9-0 in their last nine.

Also on today’s schedule: Jets at Red Wings, Oilers at Wild, Kings at Ducks, and Hurricanes at Canucks.
