DailyFaceoff/Corsica NHL Bets (December 4th)

The Corsica NHL betting predictions got back on track with a perfect outing on Monday, nailing both its most probable and most valuable bets. Corsica gave the Predators a 65.23% chance of coming through on the moneyline against the Sabres, making it the most probable bet on the slate. Buffalo’s top line continued to struggle with Sam Reinhart on the right wing and Nashville was able to ride another solid performance from Pekka Rinne to a 2-1 victory. Corsica also correctly predicted the Devils and Lightning finishing under 6.5 goals last night. This bet was looking shaky after the Lightning went off for four goals through the first two periods, but thankfully they were only able to push one more passed Cory Schneider in the third, making the final 5-1.

With 20 teams in action tonight, there are plenty of spots to like. In an effort to help you narrow down the options, I’ve highlighted Corsica’s highest probability and value bets below. Good luck!

Highest Probability

Wild @ Canucks – Spread | VAN +1.5 (-195)

Aside from Nikolay Goldobin expected to be a healthy scratch, the Canucks’ line combinations are nearly optimal for tonight’s game against the Wild. Sam Gagner is expected to skate with Bo Horvat and Loui Eriksson on the top line. Dating back to last season, Gagner and Horvat are averaging 34 scoring chances and 17 high-danger chances per 60 together at 5v5, while surrendering just 26 scoring chances and 9 high-danger chances to the opposition. They should get the better of the top-six of the Wild tonight, which partly explains why Corsica gives the Canucks a 66.46% chance of covering the 1.5-goal spread. Brock Boeser and Elias Pettersson make for a formidable second line, even without Goldobin. They draw a solid home-ice matchup against Minnesota’ third line tonight.

Anders Nilsson is expected to get the start in goal for Vancouver tonight. Boasting a .927 even-strength SV% on the season, Nilsson has clearly outplayed Jacob Markstrom to this point. He stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced against the Stars on Saturday. A similar performance from Nilsson tonight will all but guarantee a win against the spread for the Canucks.

Highest Value

Senators @ Canadiens – Over/Under | Under 6.5 (+102)

In what’s become a recurring theme, Corsica loves playing the under for the Senators’ game tonight. As I’ve highlighted in this post before, the Senators’ offense is as fraudulent as any in the NHL right now. The amount of goals they’re scoring is not reflective of the shots and scoring chances they generate at 5v5. The bottom is bound to fall out sooner or later, and Corsica continues to put their money on the former. So long as Craig Anderson and Carey Price hold their own in goal, this game shouldn’t even come close to going over 6.5 goals. Corsica gives the under a 63.88% chance of hitting tonight, making it by far the most valuable bet on tonight’s slate.
