DailyFaceoff/Corsica NHL Bets (December 7th)

The Corsica NHL betting predictions finds itself in unfamiliar territory, suffering back-to-back 0 for 2 nights for the first time this season. Corsica had the Kings covering a +1.5-goal spread against the Devils as the most probable bet on last night’s slate. Los Angeles played well enough at 5v5 but was let down but their franchise goaltender. Jonathan Quick allowed five goals on 34 shots as the Devils bested the Kings by a score of 6-3. Corsica’s most valuable bet nearly salvaged the night before a Paul Byron empty-netter ruined the Canadiens and Senators bid at hitting the under.

With just eight teams in action tonight, Corsica has set its sights on one game in particular. I’ve highlighted their most probable and valuable bets below in hopes of helping the readers of DailyFaceoff win a little bit of money. Good luck!

Highest Probability

Hurricanes @ Ducks – Spread | ANA +1.5 (-268)

According to Corsica, at a whopping 75.49%, the Ducks’ covering a +1.5-goal spread against the Hurricanes is the most surefire bet on tonight’s slate. While Carolina is one of the best 5v5 teams in the NHL in terms of generating shots and scoring chances, they notoriously struggle to convert on their opportunities. Their league-worst 5.1% SH% at 5v5 is bound to regress sooner or later, but I wouldn’t bet on it happening tonight against one of the best goaltenders in the NHL. John Gibson is the only goalie in the league to boast a .920 SV% or greater in each of the last three seasons. This season he looks as strong as ever and is fresh off another dominant display against the Blackhawks on Wednesday. A typical performance from him should be all the Ducks need to keep this one close, if not win the game outright.

Highest Value

Hurricanes @ Ducks – Moneyline | ANA +106

With only four games on the slate tonight, Corsica isn’t looking anywhere but Anaheim. Without any other obvious spots to play, the Ducks on the moneyline becomes the most valuable bet on the slate. As I mentioned above, Gibson is the key to victory for Anaheim, but there’s plenty of reason to believe in the Ducks’ offense tonight even without Rickard Rakell in the lineup. Jordan Staal, one of the best shutdown centres in the NHL, is expected to miss tonight’s game with a concussion. His absence should allow the top-six of the Ducks to roam free in the offensive zone. Ryan Getzlaf has carried this team all season and Carolina might not have an answer for him without Staal. Throw in the fact that Carolina has only won once in Anaheim since 2009, and its easy to see why Corsica is so high on the Ducks tonight. They give this bet a 54.47% chance of coming to fruition.
