DailyFaceoff/Corsica NHL Bets (February 15th)

The Corsica NHL betting predictions looks to keep things rolling after another perfect night on Thursday. With 11 games to choose from, Corsica had no problem identifying the most valuable and probable bets on the slate. The Panthers covering the spread was pegged to be the most likely bet. Florida did us one better, riding a 41-save performance from James Reimer to a 3-2 shootout victory. Corsica selected the under for the Jets and Avalanche game to be the most valuable bet on the slate. A late third-period goal from Sven Andrighetto locked up a 4-1 victory for the Avs as the game finished comfortably underneath the 6.5-goal mark.

Corsica now turns its attention to tonight’s four-game slate. I’ve highlighted the night’s most probable and valuable bet below. You can find predictions for all of tonight’s games here. Good luck!

Highest Probability/Highest Value

Bruins @ Ducks – Spread | ANA +1.5 (-157)

It doesn’t happen often, but Corsica’s most probable and valuable bet are one in the same tonight. Corsica is giving the Ducks a 69.93% chance of covering the spread tonight, giving the bet tremendous value at -157. If you’re a frequent reader of this post, you’ll notice this is the second time this week Corsica is all in on the Ducks. Corsica banked on things getting better for Anaheim without Randy Carlyle, and they were rewarded on Wednesday in the form of a 1-0 victory. Kevin Boyle stopped all 35 shots he faced in the first start of his NHL career. He is projected to be back between the pipes against Boston tonight. The 26-year-old owns a .918 SV% across three AHL seasons and has looked every bit as good in the show.

The Bruins are the clear favourite in this game, but their lack of depth makes a big win unlikely. The David Krejci line has struggled to generate quality chances out of their gaudy possession rates. David Krejci and Jake DeBrusk are averaging just 23 scoring chances per 60 despite a 55.43 CF%. Boston’s third line gets outworked routinely  at even strength and can’t be relied on to create any sort of offense. It will be a close game if Anaheim can survive the inevitable onslaught the Patrice Bergeron line is going to throw at them. Obviously, that’s a lot easier said than done, but their blueline remains one of the best in the league. Hampus Lindholm has maintained a high-standard of play amidst all of the Ducks’ struggles this season. Along with Boyle, he is Anaheim’s best bet at shutting down Bergeron and Brad Marchand tonight.
