Jets @ Flyers – Over/Under | Under 6.5 (+101)
While the All-Star firepower on both sides of this game might scare some people away from the under, Corsica is adamant you won’t find better bang for your buck on tonight’s slate. Corsica gives this high-value play a likelihood of 57.5%, so you really are getting some great value at +101. If you’re looking for a reason to believe in the under, just take a gander at the goaltending matchup. Carter Hart is expected to be in goal for the Flyers tonight. Hart turned in a pair of dominant performances against the Bruins and Canadiens prior to the All-Star break. He allowed just five goals on 77 shots (.935 SV%) across the two games, bringing his SV% up to .918 on the season. Philly will need their young phenom’s stellar play to continue tonight against the likes of Patrik Laine and Blake Wheeler.
Playing on the front-end of a back-to-back, Winnipeg will opt to go with backup Laurent Brossoit in goal tonight. Brossoit is enjoying a remarkable first-season with the Jets. He’s posted a 10-1-1 record along with a .943 SV% and 2.01 GAA in 12 appearances this season. He’s won seven-straight starts and has given up more than three goals only once this season. It’s safe to assume Brossoit will do his part in ensuring this game hits the under.

Jets @ Flyers – Spread | PHI +1.5 (-215)
These two bets are mutually exclusive, but there is some credence to the Flyers winning a low-scoring affair tonight. The goaltenders should keep the score from getting out of hand, and if Philadelphia can survive on the penalty-kill, they could easily outscore the Jets at even strength. Winnipeg’s 5v5 numbers this season are underwhelming. They rank 19th in the NHL in HDCF%, 16th in SCF%, and 15th in CF%. The Flyers rank 9th, 15th, and 13th in those respective categories, suggesting they should have a slight edge at even strength tonight.
The Bryan Little line has notoriously struggled at 5v5 for the better part of two seasons now, and Winnipeg’s top line will have to deal with Sean Couturier tonight. Couturier should be able to keep Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, and Kyle Connor in check, allowing the Claude Giroux line to go to work against the depth of the Jets.
The power-play is where Winnipeg has done the bulk of its damage this season, but they’ve been mediocre with the man advantage since the Christmas break. They’ve converted on just six of their 35 power-play opportunities (17.1%) since December 27. Philadelphia has seen their abysmal penalty-kill improve over that same span, killing off 78.4% of their penalties. Just going even on special teams tonight would give Philly a great shot at winning this game outright and would practically lock up the win against the spread. Corsica gives the Flyers a 70.25% chance of finishing within 1.5 goals of the Jets tonight.
