DailyFaceoff Friday GPP Stacks

DailyFaceoff Friday GPP Stacks

What’s going on everyone, I hope everyone had a successful Thursday. Tonight we have a five-game slate and some solid GPPs across the sites so let’s jump right in.

Colorado Avalanche

Who knows where Matt Duchene will be by seasons end, but tonight he will probably be in my lineups. The Avalanche as a team will probably be one of the worst in the league at seasons end but the line of Alexander Kerfoot-Duchene-Nail Yakupov is playing very loose exciting hockey right now which bodes well for DFS. They get a matchup at home against the Ducks who have been sluggish out of the gates to start the season. Despite being 2-1-1 the Ducks have given up at least two goals in all four games this season including four to the Arizona Coyotes. It remains to be seen if Yakupov will actually put together a solid season as we have seen him string together a couple good games like this before, however I say strike while the iron is hot and ride the wave. If you want to make it a full four man stack I would use either Tyson Barrie or Erik Johnson on the blueline.

Vegas Golden Knights

James Neal has been incredible to start the season and I don’t see any reason to jump off the train now so the preferred line to use tonight is David PerronCody Eakin-Neal. The Knights get a Red Wings team on a back to back who will probably be starting their back up Petr Mrazek. For whatever it’s worth, I think Mrazek is the better goalie than Jimmy Howard, however I think Detroit as a whole is a bad team and very poor defensively. This line is very reasonably priced despite Neal being $6,600 on DraftKings. If you’re looking to make this a full stack, Nate Schmidt is the guy on the blue line to use.

Calgary Flames

As I am writing this, our editor in chief of DailyFaceoff, Brock Seguin informed me that Curtis Lazar will be on the top line with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. What are you doing Flames? I highly doubt that Lazar will make it the whole night on that line but regardless of that this is a good time to use a mini stack of Gaudreau-Monahan-T.J. Brodie. The top line of Calgary is the preferred line to stack at home for me as I prefer to use the 3M line on the road. Just make sure to check that Brodie is still on the top power play unit with those guys as it is a nice three man stack to use.

Columbus Blue Jackets

I have a feeling that the Jackets might be a tad under the radar tonight as Henrik Lundqvist is only $7,400 on DraftKings tonight but let’s be honest, he has not been good to start the season. Alain Vigneault decided that it would be a good idea to break up Ryan McDonagh and Kevin Shattenkirk and put Marc Staal or Nick Holden (but why?) with McDonagh. This makes the Rangers blue line as a unit much weaker and the Jackets are definitely capable of making them pay for their mistakes. The top line of Artemi PanarinAlexander WennbergCam Atkinson is the target and if you want to make it a full stack, Zach Werenski is the guy on the blue line.
