DFO Stacks (11/07)

DFO Stacks (11/07)

In this article I am going to write up two expensive lines and two value lines to give you and idea how to get in the expensive lines tonight.

Buffalo Sabres

The top line for the Sabres is in a fantastic matchup tonight facing the Capitals on a back to back. The line of Jason Pominville – Jack Eichel – Evander Kane will most likely face off against the Ovechkin line, which has been horrendous defensively allowing 43 shots against per 60 and 17 high danger scoring chances per 60. The Capitals will also more than likely be starting their backup Phillip Grubauer which just bumps up the Sabres even more. If Rasmus Ristolainen is back you can pair that line with him as he’s only $4800 on DraftKings, but if he is out you don’t really have to pair that line with anyone. If you still really wanted to Marco Scandella at $3700 would more than likely be the preferred option.

St. Louis Blues

The top line of Jaden Schwartz – Brayden Schenn – Vladimir Tarasenko is the target tonight on a road matchup against the New Jersey Devils. I wouldn’t say this is an elite matchup, however this line is one of the more elite lines in the NHL. Their possession numbers are fantastic, almost 60% possession, which only make them generate scoring chances. Another thing I like about them is the fact that they stay intact on the power play as well as at evens so the correlation for this line is extremely strong. If you can fit hit Alex Pietrangelo at $6700 he is definitely the preferred play, but Colton Parayko at $4200 is not a bad consolation prize.

New York Islanders

While everyone may be looking at the top line tonight and for good reason, I will be looking for some salary relief on the second line. The unit of Jordan Eberle – Matt Barzal – Andrew Ladd is only $12,800 to full stack on DraftKings which basically allows for any expensive line to be stacked with them. This line is also coming off a very good offensive performance against the Avalanche. Eberle potted two goals while Matt Barzal had a ridiculous five assists. They face the Oilers tonight who struggle defensively making the second line for the Islanders one of my favorite value lines of the night. Nick Leddy would be my top choice on the blue line, however Johnny Boychuk is a fine play as well.

Montreal Canadiens

From a value standpoint I think this is one of the top lines of the night and I’m sure they will have some ownership attached. The second line of Alex Galchenyuk – Jonathan Drouin – Artturi Lehkonen get a great matchup against the depth of the Vegas Golden Knights(is that an oxymoron?) and they’re only $13,600 to full stack. It appears Maxime Legace is starting again tonight which definitely bumps up this line. Again this line will definitely come with some ownership but I think you could always pair them with a non chalk expensive line if you are worried about ownership. Shea Weber is the play on the blue line if you are looking to make this a full four man stack.
