Minnesota

The Wild have mixed up their lines and they are very appealing. The new top six is Nino Niederreiter – Eric Staal – Mikael Granlund and Charlie Coyle – Mikko Koivu – Jason Zucker. I really like both of these lines tonight against a battered Ducks team who are still without Hampus Lindholm. Without arguably their best defensive center look for the shot volume from the Wild to be very high. The Koivu line is a tad cheaper and could let you load up elsewhere but when push comes to shove my preferred and possibly my favorite line of the night is the Staal line. Depending how you build the defenseman to use would be either Ryan Suter or Matt Dumba.

Chicago

The Blackhawks are probably going to be fairly popular tonight facing the Buffalo Sabers but it is hard to ignore the second line of Nick Schmaltz – Artem Anisimov – Patrick Kane. Robin Lehner has been playing better for the Sabers as they get healthier however they’re middle of the road defensively at best and none of the Sabers lines should strike fear in your hearts. While the Sabers don’t give up a massive amount of HDSCA/60 the ones they do give up have been going in. With the Toews line more then likely matching up with the Eichel line, the Anisimov line will be getting a depth line of the Sabers which bumps up the matchup. Duncan Keith or Gustav Forsling are the defensemen of choice.

Note: Alex DeBrincat got moved up to the top line and I do like that line as well, however I still prefer using the second line.

Value:

On this shorter five game slate it is a tad difficult to find good value tonight, however the top lines aren’t overly expensive so I am not sure how deep you will have to dig tonight. There are a couple of lines I keyed in on if you need the salary relief.

Vegas 3

I am not sure I would want to full stack the line of Cody Eakin – Alex Tuch – Tomas Nosek, but all of the players are under $3700 which provides a lot of room to fill out the rest of the line. Again, tonight I am not sure you really need to dig this deep but if you do find yourself needing a single bullet under $4000, I think Alex Tuch is your guy. He has one goal, two assists and 12 shots on goal in the past three games which is exactly what you want for some who is priced at $3700

Chicago 3

It is weird for me writing up the Blackhawks twice but the third line of the Patrick Sharp – Ryan Hartman – Richard Panik is very attractive from a salary perspective. As I mentioned before I am not sure it is necessary to dig this deep tonight but this line would be a good line to use at low ownership in a probable high ownership game. So throwing salary to the win, from a contrarian standpoint this would be a nice line to use as they will be getting a bottom six matchup from the Sabers, which to say the least, is very appealing.
