DFS Lines to Target: 02/06/20

It’s a jam-packed Thursday night in the NHL with 12 games on tap. I’ve gone over my top high-priced, medium-priced and value stacks to help you out. Good luck!

High-Priced

Colorado 1 – Gabriel Landeskog ($7,700), Nathan MacKinnon ($8,500), Mikko Rantanen ($8,000)

After the Avalanche’s second line did the majority of the damage in their last outing against Buffalo, I’m expecting the top line to return to their dominance against the Senators tonight. Landeskog, MacKinnon and Rantanen have a 55.69 CF% this season and they’ll be matched up against Ottawa’s Tkachuk, Gabriel-Pageau and Brown trio, which owns a 51.28 CF%.

MacKinnon is up to 30 goals and 73 points in 51 games, while Rantanen has scored in back-to-back games to give himself 17 goals and 36 points in 35 games. Landeskog has also been productive lately with three points in his last four games to put him at 13 goals and 23 points in 35 games on the year. The Senators continue to be one of the worst defensive teams in the league, allowing 3.28 goals-per-game. Considering all three players in this Avs’ stack are on the first power-play unit, you can’t go wrong with Colorado 1 tonight.

Medium-Priced

Philadelphia 1 – James van Riemsdyk ($5,300), Claude Giroux ($6,300), Travis Konecny ($5,700)

Colorado’s top line is arguably the best high-priced option tonight, but Philadelphia 1 vs New Jersey offers similar upside at a much better cost. This Flyers unit has a very impressive 64.00 CF% and 78.26 HDCF% in a 65-minute sample size. They’ll be seeing a mix of New Jersey’s second and third lines and will hold a significant even-strength advantage over both of them. The Devils third line of Zacha, Wood and Simmonds in particular has been very poor at 5-on-5 with a 40.80 CF% and 42.86 HDCF%.

Giroux and JVR have both hit 30 points, while Konecny is the team’s top goal-scorer with 17 on the season. The Devils are allowing the second-most amount of goals in the NHL (3.54/GP) and have been very poor defensively of late, getting torched for 15 goals against in three consecutive losses. Not only has this Flyers trio been lethal at 5-on-5, but each player on this line plays on the Flyers’ solid first power-play unit that has struck twice in the last three games.

Value Stack

St. Louis 2 – Zach Sanford ($3,500), Ryan O’Reilly ($5,600), David Perron ($5,800)

The Blues’ second line comes at a great cost tonight in their meeting with the Jets. Sanford especially is great value considering he’s been red-hot of late with four goals and nine points during a six-game point streak. This line owns an impressive 55.28 CF% this season, and they’ll be matched up against Winnipeg’s Laine, Scheifele and Connor line, which owns a 46.45 CF%.

Sanford plays on the second power-play unit, while O’Reilly and Perron play on the team’s top unit. St. Louis comes into this game with the fifth-best power-play in the NHL (25% efficiency) and they’ll be going up against a Jets PK unit that ranks third-last in the NHL (74.5% efficiency). When you consider that O’Reilly and Perron have been close to point-per-game players through 54 contests, it’s hard to find better value than St. Louis 2 tonight.
