DFS Lines to Target: 02/18/20

There are seven games on the slate tonight in the NHL. I’ve one over my top medium-priced and value stacks to help you out. Good luck!

Medium-Priced

Montreal 1 – Tomas Tatar ($5,800), Phillip Danault ($4,800), Brendan Gallagher** ($6,800)

Montreal’s top line will see a mix of Detroit’s top three lines tonight and will hold an even-strength advantage in every matchup. In over 500 minutes of ice time together this season, Tatar, Danault and Gallagher own an impressive 61.85 CF% and 62.77 HDCF%. They’re sure to generate plenty of chances against a Red Wings team allowing the sixth-most amount of shots and 11th-most amount of high danger chances.

The complication with this stack is that Gallagher is being listed as a game-time decision after missing practice yesterday, He did participate in the game-day skate but has reportedly been dealing with a lower-body injury. No matter who plays right wing on this top line tonight, it will be a solid line stack against a struggling Detroit squad. The Red Wings have lost four straight games and are 2-13-1 in their last 16. With Shea Weber and Paul Byron both returning and the Habs needing every point they can get in the playoff race, you can’t go wrong with Montreal 1 tonight.

Value Stack

St. Louis 2 – Zach Sanford ($4,400), Robert Thomas ($3,700), David Perron ($5,800)

The Blues’ second line comes at a nice cost tonight in their game against New Jersey. They will be matched up against New Jersey’s second line of Miles Wood, Travis Zajac and Nikita Gusev, which has been badly outchanced in a small sample size. Sanford and Perron have played almost 400 minutes together this season and own a 52.88 CF%. Thomas is the new addition to the line, and it should mix well considering he has seven points in his last nine games.

The Devils continue to be one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL, allowing 3.41 goals-per-game. They’ve given up at least three goals in three of their last four games and likely won’t have the tools to shut down the Blues’ high-powered offense. The best value for this stack comes with goaltending, as Devils will be turning to their backup Louis Domingue, who has given up 14 goals in his last three appearances and owns a .878 save percentage on the season.
