DFS Lines to Target: 11/19/19

It’s a massive 13-game slate in the NHL tonight. Boston’s elite top line has a good matchup against the Devils, while red-hot Carolina and Chicago teams faceoff in the Windy City. There’s plenty of value to be found, so I’ve highlighted my top high-priced, mid-range, and value stack to help you out. Best of luck!

High-Priced

Boston 1 – Brad Marchand ($7,700), Patrice Bergeron ($6,900), David Pastrnak ($8,400)

Boston’s top line has another good matchup going up against a Devils team that is allowing 3.47 goals-per-game — sixth worst in the NHL. The only concern with this stack is that Patrice Bergeron is listed as a game-time decision after missing Saturday’s game against the Capitals with a lower-body injury. He did participate in morning skate, but you’ll want to wait on getting confirmation.

Marchand and Pastrnak should still produce together against the Taylor Hall, Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt line, which has a lacklustre 42.86 CF% in a small sample size this season. Pastrnak and Marchand also play on Boston’s elite first power-play unit, which ranks third-best in the NHL. The Devils, meanwhile, have been struggling on the penalty kill with 75.8% efficiency this year. If Bergeron does play, I don’t expect much rust against a weak defensive team. He has six goals and 11 points in his past nine games and should produce on the top line if he does play.

Medium-Priced

Carolina 2 – Andrei Svechnikov ($6,900), Sebastian Aho ($6,700), Tuevo Teravainen ($6,300)

This is a matchup of two hot teams, as Carolina has won three straight games, while the Blackhawks are on a four-game winning streak. Carolina’s second line has good value based on who they will be facing at even-strength. This Carolina trio will likely be matched up against Chicago’s third line of Andrew Shaw, David Kampf and Dominik Kahun. This Chicago line has a 44.74 CF% in almost 40 minutes of ice time together and won’t able to handle the talent of Carolina’s elite second line.

Svechnikov has three goals and seven points in his last four games, while Teravainen is on a five-game point streak with seven points in that span. Aho has three goals in his last three games and is tied for the team-lead with nine on the season. Aho and Svechnikov have a lethal 59.48 CF% at even-strength together, and all three players in this stack play on a first power-play unit that ranks eighth-best in the NHL. Robin Lehner will be getting the start in goal, and he’s allowed nine goals over his last three appearances. Expect this Carolina line to do some damage at both even-strength and on the power play.

Value Stack

Montreal 2 – Max Domi ($5, 300), Nick Suzuki ($3,200), Joel Armia ($5,100)

Montreal’s second line is priced nicely tonight against a Columbus team that is allowing 3.26 goals-per-game. Suzuki has scored in back-to-back games and been a great addition to the Habs this year, while Domi is up to 13 points in 20 games. Armia has six goals on the year. This line will be matched up against the Blue Jackets’ second and third lines, which are both getting outchanced at 5-on-5 this season. The speedsters Suzuki and Domi have been impressive this season and own a 52.31 CF% together.

Columbus will be turning in goal to Joonas Korpisalo, who owns a .897 save percentage in 15 starts this season. With Jonathan Drouin sidelined with injury, other players on the Habs are going to need to step up offensively to keep up the momentum of the team’s current six-game point streak. Columbus has struggled to keep the puck out of their net all season and will have a hard time slowing down the speed of Domi and Suzuki. Armia has great finishing ability and will get his chances to strike playing alongside two very skilled players.
