To help you build the ideal one-day lineup here are my top centres, wingers, defensemen, goalies and value picks for the February 6th games.

NOTE: Top goalie plays will be updated later in the day when most goalies are confirmed!

Centres

Tyler Seguin – vs. FLA ($9,000)

Seguin missed Stars practice on Thursday, but he will be in the lineup on Friday. He comes in with two goals and seven assists in his last 10 games. With the Panthers in action tonight, the Stars could see Al Montoya tomorrow.

Ryan Johansen – vs. PHI ($8,300)

Johansen has two goals and four assists in his last five games and will face Ray Emery on Friday. His line mate Scott Hartnell will be taking on his former team, so Johansen should be trying extra hard to get Hartnell on the stat sheet.

Joe Pavelski – @ ARI ($8,100)

Pavelski has six goals and three assists in his last 10 games. He will face an Arizona team who has given up a lot of goals this season. Pavelski has scored a goal in each of the first two games against the Coyotes this season.

Jonathan Toews – vs. NJ ($5,800)

Toews has three assists in his last two games and has seen a sudden spike in shots on goal, registering 11 shots in his last two contests. On Friday the lowly Devils are in town and a $5,800 price tag is more than reasonable.

Joe Thornton – @ ARI ($4,700)

Thornton has two goals and 10 assists in his last 10 games and still comes with a more than reasonable salary. Pairing him with his line-mate Pavelski, leaves you with $5,314 per player for your remaining seven players.

Wingers

Jamie Benn – vs. FLA ($7,900)

Benn scored two goals on Tuesday and has four goals and seven assists in his last 10 games. Like Seguin, it is a great matchup with the Panthers in town on the tail-end of back-to-back.

Marian Hossa – vs. NJ ($7,800)

Hossa enters play having scored two goals in each of his last three games. He is as hot as Patrick Kane is right now, but comes $800 cheaper. Pairing him with Toews is another reasonably cheap duo.

Scott Hartnell – vs. PHI ($6,900)

Hartnell has three goals and three assists in his last four games and will be super jacked-up to play against his former team on Friday.

Nick Foligno – vs. PHI ($6,600)

You could put this entire line together and hope they eat Emery alive. Foligno has recorded three goals and six assists in his last nine games.

Patrick Eaves – vs. FLA ($3,900)

Eaves is averaging nearly three shots per game in his last eight games while playing the majority of that time on the Stars top line. In those eight games, he has three goals and two assists.

Defensemen

John Klingberg – vs. FLA ($4,400)

Klingberg is one of the hottest defensemen in the NHL. He has four goals and seven assists (11 points) in his last seven games. Of those 11 points, six of them have come on the power-play. Despite his recent performance, he still comes with a relatively inexpensive price-tag.

David Savard – vs. PHI ($3,900)

Savard has one goal, three assists and nine shots in his last five games. He is playing well over 20 minutes a night on the Blue Jackets top pair and sees consistent power-play time on Columbus’ second unit. Savard will also pick up a healthy number of blocked shots—he currently ranks second on the team with 70.

Matt Tennyson – @ ARI ($2,900)

Tennyson is a nice bargain on a high-scoring Sharks team with a great matchup. He has one goal and four assists in his last eight games and sees time on San Jose’s second power-play unit. He blocks a fair amount of shots as well, just 11 days ago he had six vs. Edmonton.

Goalies

Corey Crawford – vs. NJ ($9,000)

Crawford is 2-1-1 with a 2.72 GAA and .913 SV% in four start in February. Those are not great numbers, but he still makes for a great start tonight with New Jersey and their 28th ranked offence (2.20 G/PG) in town.

Kari Lehtonen – vs. FLA ($8,500)

With Jhonas Enroth now in town, Lehtonen will need to cement himself as the starter if he doesn’t want to start losing starts. He coming into tonight having won two in a row while stopped 75 of 80 shots (.938 SV%). He also catches the Panthers on the tail-end of a back-to-back with Al Montoya likely in net.

Antti Niemi – @ ARI ($7,600)

Despite Mike Smith playing much better as of late, the Coyotes have still lost three of four, while scoring just six goals (1.50 per game). Niemi has lost three in a row, but he should be able to get back in the win column tonight. He is 1-0-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .907 SV% against the Coyotes this season.
