Here’s a quick explanation on how to build your lineup an play! You have $50,000 in Salary space, to build a team that consists of 2C, 3W, 2D, 1G and 1 Util. Below you will find how skaters and goalies scoring works!

• Players will accumulate points as follows:

  • Goal = +3 PTS
  • Assist = +2 PTS
  • Shot on Goal = +0.5 PTS
  • Blocked Shot = +0.5 PTS
  • Short Handed Point Bonus (Goal/Assist) = +1 PTS
  • Shootout Goal = +0.2 PTS
  • Hat Trick Bonus = +1.5 PTS

• Goalies only will accumulate points as follows:

  • Win = +3 PTS
  • Save = +0.2 PTS
  • Goal Against = -1 PTS
  • Shutout Bonus = +2 PTS

• Goalie Scoring Notes:

  • Goalies WILL receive points for all stats they accrue, including goals and assists.
  • The Goalie Shutout Bonus is credited to goalies if they complete the entire game with 0 goals allowed in regulation + overtime. Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout. Goalie must complete the entire game to get credit for a shutout.

Below I’ve listed my top DFS line stacks, defensemen and goalies as well as a few sample DraftKings lineup for tonight.

Centres

Pavel Datsyuk – vs. COL – $6,000

As long as Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg ($5,600) are playing together and the Red Wings have plus matchups, I will continue to roll with them. They are relatively inexpensive and have been playing great together. Datsyuk has two goals and three assists (5.83 FPPG) in his last three games while Zetterberg comes in with one goal and three assists (3.75 FPPG) in his last four. The Avalanche come in on the wrong end of a back-to-back with Semyon Varlamov potentially starting again, I like the Red Wings’ odds.

Derick Brassard – vs. LA – $5,800

Brassard has three goals and six assists (5.6 FPPG) in his last six games and whenever the Rangers are on home ice, Brassard is a solid option. In 26 games at Madison Square Garden, Brassard has 33 points (15G / 18A) versus just seven points in 27 games on the road. The Kings are without Jonathan Quick, which means it look like Peter Budaj will start…Yep that Peter Budaj.

Tomas Plekanec – @ BUF – $5,100

After a few months of futility, the Canadiens have won three in a row and Plekanec has three goals and five assists (6.4 FPPG) in his last four games. He has two games with 10-plus fantasy points in his last three, showcasing his potential to have a huge game tonight in Buffalo. Chad Johnson gets the call for the Sabres—he has posted a .903 SV% in his last three games. The Sabres give up the seventh most fantasy points to centres this season.

Value Options: J.T Miller – vs. LA – $4,500 / Alex Galchenyuk – @ BUF – $4,400 / Sam Bennett – @ ARI – $4,200

Wingers

Brendan Gallagher – @ BUF – $5,900

The Sabres don’t give up nearly as many points to wingers, but Gallagher comes in with two goals and two assists in his last three games and his high-shot volume makes him an excellent option tonight. Gallagher has eight points (3G / 5A) and 42 shots (3.8 S/PG) in his last 11 games.

Filip Forsberg – @ TBL – $5,800

It would be nice if Forsberg was playing with Ryan Johansen and James Neal, but unfortunately he is not. However, it hasn’t slowed him down as of late—the young winger has picked up three goals and two assists in his last two games (nine fantasy points in each). Forsberg had two assists in his first game vs. Tampa Bay and surprisingly the Lightning have given up an average of 3.00 goals per game in their last six games.

Chris Kunitz – @ CAR – $4,700

The Penguins were shutout in their last meeting and you can’t keep Sidney Crosby ($8,100) down for long, so he and Kunitz make a strong duo tonight. Kunitz comes in with five goals and seven assists (12 points) in his last 10 games and his $4,700 salary is more than reasonable for someone with that kind of production playing alongside the NHL’s hottest player.

Value Options: Dustin Brown – @ NYR – $4,100 / Jesper Fast – vs. LA – $3,100 / Justin Bailey – vs. MTL – $2,500

Defensemen

Kris Letang – @ CAR – $6,700

I may not spend up for Crosby tonight, but I will for Letang. Even though they were shutout on Wednesday, Letang had six shots and 3.5 DraftKings points. He has averaged 5.7 FPPG in his last 10 games and he had one goal in his only game against the Hurricanes this season. He is the top blueline option tonight.

P.K Subban – @ BUF – $6,300

Subban enters play on a seven-game point streak, having picked up two goals, eight assists and five fantasy points per game. The Canadiens are scary, but they are on a three-game winning streak which offers promise. Also, it is obvious that Subban’s floor is high and ceiling even higher.

Jake Muzzin – @ NYR – $5,200

Muzzin is an elite DailyOption because he shoots a lot, blocks a lot of shots and even gets on the scoresheet on occasion. The Kings are in play tonight with Henrik Lundqvist getting the night off and Muzzin comes in averaging 5.1 fantasy points per game in his last six games.

Value Options:  T.J Brodie – @ ARI – $4,600 / Alec Martinez – @ NYR – $4,600 / Dan Boyle – vs. LA – $3,900

Goalies

Marc-Andre Fleury – @ CAR – $8,100

I would be lying if playing Fleury didn’t make me a little nervous tonight. The Hurricanes surprise me all the time, but they could be without Justin Faulk tonight. Fleury has an ugly 3.73 GAA and .865 SV% since the All-Star break, but has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.46 GAA and .930 SV% in two games against the Hurricanes this season.

Petr Mrazek – vs. COL – $8,000

Mrazek has won three in a row while stopping 73 of 75 shots (.973 SV%_ and leads the NHL in GAA (1.94) and SV% (.934). He has been lights out all season and has posted a 1-0-1 record, 0.48 GAA and .980 SV% in two career starts against the Avalanche. During his three game winning streak, Mrazek has averaged 7.87 fantasy points.

Ben Scrivens – @ BUF – $7,000

A lack of high-end goalie options tonight, puts Ben Scirvens on the map tonight. He comes in having won three in a row while posting a 1.30 GAA, .959 SV% and 7.93 fantasy points per game. The Sabres have allowed the most DraftKings points to opposing goaltenders this season, so you could save some money with Scrivens tonight.
