Here’s a quick explanation on how to build your lineup an play! You have $50,000 in Salary space, to build a team that consists of 2C, 3W, 2D, 1G and 1 Util. Below you will find how skaters and goalies scoring works!

• Players will accumulate points as follows:

  • Goal = +3 PTS
  • Assist = +2 PTS
  • Shot on Goal = +0.5 PTS
  • Blocked Shot = +0.5 PTS
  • Short Handed Point Bonus (Goal/Assist) = +1 PTS
  • Shootout Goal = +0.2 PTS
  • Hat Trick Bonus = +1.5 PTS

• Goalies only will accumulate points as follows:

  • Win = +3 PTS
  • Save = +0.2 PTS
  • Goal Against = -1 PTS
  • Shutout Bonus = +2 PTS

• Goalie Scoring Notes:

  • Goalies WILL receive points for all stats they accrue, including goals and assists.
  • The Goalie Shutout Bonus is credited to goalies if they complete the entire game with 0 goals allowed in regulation + overtime. Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout. Goalie must complete the entire game to get credit for a shutout.

Below I’ve listed my top DFS line stacks, defensemen and goalies as well as a few sample DraftKings lineup for tonight.

Line Stacks

Milan Lucic ($4,700) – Anze Kopitar ($6,200) – Tyler Toffoli ($6,000)

Lucie will be back in the Kings lineup after serving a one-game suspension. He had one goal and five assists in his previous seven games prior to the suspension and the Kings draws a great matchup vs. the Avalanche tonight. Kopitar is the hottest of the Kings’ forwards entering play with three goals an eight assists (11 points) in his last eight games. Toffoli is not far behind with three goals and three assists in his last seven. The Avs were creamed last night and Calvin Pickard will be in goal again tonight.

Ondrej Palat ($4,200) – Vladislav Namestnikov ($3,900) – Steven Stamkos ($7,200)

Namestnikov and Stamkos have been two of the hottest forwards in the NHL recently. The young Russian has four goals and six assists in his last eight, while Stammer has collected eight points (4G / 4A) of his own over the last nine. Palat has sen his shot totals rise recently and that is a great sign. He has just four goals on the year, but he makes for a great value option on a stout top line.

Andre Burakovsky ($3,600) – Evgeny Kuznetsov ($6,500) – Justin Williams ($5,200)

The Capitals are well rested after having two games get snowed out and the Flyers will be fatigued after playing on Monday. In their last six games, Williams and Kuznetsov have combined for seven goals and 13 assists (20 points), which is simply outrageous. Burakovsky is the value option on this line and he has chipped in one goal and six assists over the same span. They’re simply red-hot.

On the blueline

Shea Weber – @ CGY – ($6,100)

Weber will be able to stay home to participate in this weekend’s All Star game and he deserves to be there. He hasn’t scored in a while, but has four assists, 17 shots and 18 blocked shots over the last two weeks, which amounts to 3.6 FPPG.

Victor Hedman – vs. TOR – ($5,800)

The Lightning have a great matchup with the Maple Leafs in town on a back-to-back. Hedman has two goals and eight assists (10 points) in his last 10 games and has blocked a boatload of shots over that stretch. He is an elite D-option, especially given tonight’s matchup.

Jake Muzzin – vs. COL – ($5,000)

Muzzin has been excellent as of late. He can usually be counted on for steady production due to his volume of shots and blocked shots, but he has one goal and six assists in his last nine as well. He is a reasonably cheap option to help you save some cash on the back-end.

Between the pipes

Braden Holtby – vs. PHI – ($8,500)

Holtby is well rested after having two games postponed and he is the safest bet to win on any given night. He won his first start vs. the Flyers and comes in at 6-1-1 with a 2.65 GAA and .914 SV% in January.

Jonathan Quick – vs. COL -($8,400)

Quick will be well rested after getting the night off on Sunday. He has gone 5-3-1 with a 2.10 GAA and .919 SV% in January and is 14-8-1 on home ice this season. The Avalanche on the other hand, come in with a tired backup goalie in net.

Andrei Vasilevskiy – vs. TOR – ($7,600)

Vasilevskiy has won his last four starts while posting a 2.71 GAA and .904 SV% and tonight he will face the Maple Leafs for the second time this season. He gave up four goals on 37 shots in a 5-4 OT win in the first meeting, but that was when Toronto could score.
