Below I’ve listed my top DFS line stacks, defensemen and goalies as well as a few sample DraftKings lineup for tonight

Centres

Steven Stamkos – vs. NYI – $7,400

Stamkos has collected five goals, three assists (eight points) and 6.6 DraftKings points per game (FPPG) in his last five games. He has been red-hot and tonight the Lightning face an Islanders team that has been struggling for the last two weeks. Thomas Greiss gets the start and he has gone 1-4-1 with a 2.67 GAA and .913 SV% in his last six starts. Stamkos had two assists in the first meeting between the Isles and Lightning this season.

Paul Stastny – vs. VAN – $4,600

It is hard to pinpoint which Blues line to target on any given night, but lately their second line has been producing at a high-rate. Stastny centres that line and he comes in having picked up nine points (3G / 6A) and 4.1 FPPG in his last seven games. Their first line is a solid option as well, but the second line will save you a tonne of cash.

Robby Fabbri – vs. VAN – $4,000

Fabbri plays the wing on that second line, but is classified as a centre on DraftKings. Fabbri has eight points (2G / 6A) in his last eight games, working out to 3.4 FPPG. At $4,000 he is a great value play against a Canucks team that is struggling and coming in on the tail-end of a back-to-back set.

Wingers

Alex Ovechkin – @ NJ – $8,700

Ovechkin hasn’t scored a tonne recently—only two goals and three assists in his last eight games—but his shot volume alone keeps his DraftKings value afloat. Over that eight-game stretch he has averaged 4.1 fantasy points and 4.3 shots per game. The Devils are on a back-to-back and Ovechkin has four points (2G / 2A) in three games vs. New Jersey this season.

Nikita Kucherov – vs. NYI – $7,000

Kucherov has produced three goals, three assists and 4.7 FPPG in his last five games. His salary represents his great season and playing permanently on a line with Stamkos has increased his production. He didn’t pick up a point in his first game vs. New York, but has 36 points (16G / 20A) in 35 games on home ice.

Troy Brouwer – vs. VAN – $4,000

Brouwer is the third member of the Fabbri-Stastny-Brouwer line and he comes in with three goals, three assists and 3.6 FPPG in his last seven contests. He won’t have another 20-goal season, but he has been heating up recently and draws a superb matchup tonight.

Defensemen

Kevin Shattenkirk – vs. VAN – $6,800

With Jay Bouwmeester out, Shattenkirk will play alongside Alex Pietrangelo on the Blues’ top pairing. Shattenkirk has eight points (3G / 5A) and 4.1 FPPG in nine games this month and his move to the top-pair with a great matchup could mean another strong night for the offensive-defenseman.

Alex Pietrangelo – vs. VAN – $5,900

Pietrangelo is just behind Shattenkirk with 3.2 FPPG in March. He has only one goal and three assists over that span, but has averaged 2.6 shots per game. He has yet to score on home ice this season and Shattenkirk is the better option, but Pietrangelo is nearly $1,000 cheaper.

Calvin de Haan – @ TBL – $4,100

Since returning to the Islanders lineup on March 15th, de Haan has two assists, nine shots and 27 blocked shots (3.7 FPPG) in six games. He has been the top Islanders blueliner over that span and should be a solid option at $4,100. The matchup isn’t ideal but he doesn’t need to score to produce on DraftKings.

Goalies

Braden Holtby – @ NJ – $8,600

It’s going to be tough to take a goalie and not spend a tonne of your salary tonight. Holtby is expected to start vs. a Devils team coming in on a back-to-back. He has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.36 GAA and .913 SV% (4.7 FPPG) and is 3-0-0 with a 2.61 GAA and .889 SV% against New Jersey this season.

Brian Elliott – vs. VAN – $8,400

Elliott has made two starts since returning to the Blues crease, stopping all 66 shots that he has faced for back-to-back shutouts (10.6 FPPG). He has been sensational in his last eight starts (7-1-0) and makes for a great start vs. a Canucks team that has lost six in a row while averaging 0.83 goals per game.
