Here’s a quick explanation on how to build your lineup an play! You have $50,000 in Salary space, to build a team that consists of 2C, 3W, 2D, 1G and 1 Util. Below you will find how skaters and goalies scoring works!

• Players will accumulate points as follows:

Goal = +3 PTS
Assist = +2 PTS
Shot on Goal = +0.5 PTS
Blocked Shot = +0.5 PTS
Short Handed Point Bonus (Goal/Assist) = +1 PTS
Shootout Goal = +0.2 PTS
Hat Trick Bonus = +1.5 PTS

• Goalies only will accumulate points as follows:

Win = +3 PTS
Save = +0.2 PTS
Goal Against = -1 PTS
Shutout Bonus = +2 PTS

• Goalie Scoring Notes:

Goalies WILL receive points for all stats they accrue, including goals and assists.
The Goalie Shutout Bonus is credited to goalies if they complete the entire game with 0 goals allowed in regulation + overtime. Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout. Goalie must complete the entire game to get credit for a shutout.

Below I’ve listed my top DFS line stacks, defensemen and goalies as well as a few sample DraftKings lineup for tonight

Centres

Nick Bonino – vs. WSH – $5,100

Bonino picked up an assist in the Penguins’ Game 3 win over the Capitals, extending his point-streak to five games. During that stretch he has recorded one goal, five assists (six points) and 3.9 DraftKings points per game (FPPG). The Penguins second line of Hagelin-Bonino-Kessel is the hottest line in the series and they’ll be leaned on heavily with Kris Letang suspended for Game 4.

Patrik Berglund – vs. DAL – $3,900

Berglund had just 20 points (12G / 8A) in 52 games in the regular season, but has five points (2G / 3A) in 10 playoff games so far. Four of those points have come during his four-game point streak while he has averaged 3.6 FPPG. He is playing well and his $3,900 salary provides great value as Blues look to take a 3-1 series lead.

Mike Fisher – vs. SJS – $3,800

Fisher has points in each of the first three games in the Predators series with the Sharks, scoring one goal with two assists. He has averaged 3.67 shots and 4.5 DraftKings points per game to start the series. Fisher is another extremely cheap option who comes in on a hot-streak. Take advantage of that.

Wingers

Alex Ovechkin – @ PIT – $9,000

Ovechkin had a five-game goalless streak, but had two assist and still averaged 3.3 FP prior to Game 3 on Monday. Despite the loss, Ovechkin had one goal with one assist and seven shots (9.0 FP) and nearly willed the Capitals to the win. With Letang out, the Capitals have a much better shot at winning and Ovechkin will likely play a huge role in tying the series up at 2-2.

Carl Hagelin – vs. WSH – $5,000

Hagelin is riding a four-game point streak, having picked up three goals and two assists (five points). Over that time he has averaged 5.6 FPPG and continues to be one of the best value wingers available in the playoffs.

Robby Fabbri – vs. DAL – $4,200

Fabbri is playing on a line with Backes and Berglund and stacking him with Berglund leaves a tonne of money to spend elsewhere. Fabbri has three assists in his last two games and has eight points (1G / 7A) and 2.7 FPPG in 10 playoff games thus far.

Colin Wilson – vs. SJS – $3,300

Wilson has picked up points in the first three games of the Predators series with the Sharks and enters Thursday on a four-game point streak. Over that time he has averaged 4.0 FPPG and has picked up eight points (3G / 5A) and 3.1 FPPG in 10 playoff games to this point.

Defensemen

John Carlson – @ PIT – $6,300

Carlson has three assists but has not picked up a goal in this series, despite firing 18 total shots on goal. He has totalled three goals, six assists (nine points) and 5.78 FPPG in nine playoff games. He is my top defenseman in the Wednesday-Thursday slate.

Trevor Daley – vs. WSH – $4,500

Daley has just two assists and 11 blocked shots in eight playoff games, but he gets a huge opportunity on Wednesday. With Letang out, Daley will likely play massive minutes and will skate on the Penguins’ top power-play unit. He is averaging 2.69 FPPG in the playoffs and his expanded role should help inflate that number.

Ryan Ellis – vs. SJS – $4,400

Offensively, Ellis has just two assists and 10 shots in his last five games, but he has blocked at least two shots (11 total) in each of those games. His offence along with his blocks have totalled 2.9 FPPG over that span, making him a nice value option on Thursday.

Goalies

Braden Holtby – vs. PIT – $8,600

Holtby is just 5-4 in nine playoff starts, but that is not reflective of his 1.44 GAA and .949 SV%. He has been great and couldn’t have done anything about the fluky goals the Penguins scored in Game 3. He has averaged a solid 6.3 FPPG in those nine starts and with Letang suspended, the Capitals have their best chance at a W tonight. Plus, there’s no way Matt Murray can be as good as he was on Monday…Right?

Brian Elliott – vs. DAL – $8,500

After losing Game 1 to the Stars, Elliott has turned in back-to-back wins while stopping 56 of 60 shots (.933 SV%). Overall, it has been a very productive postseason for Elliott, who is 6-4 with a 2.25 GAA and .933 SV% in 10 starts. In those 10 games he has averaged 6.2 FPPG.

Pekka Rinne – vs. SJS – $8,000

Rinne allowed a combined five goals and lost the first two games of the series, but bounced back with a 26-save performance in Tuesday’s win vs. San Jose. He is 5-5 with a 2.33 GAA and a .920 SV% in 10 playoff starts, which has translated to 4.5 FPPG in the playoffs.
