The centre position is traditionally the deepest position and 2017-18 is no different. Centre has a tonne of high-end talent and first-round fantasy picks, starting with Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby. There will be a changing of the guard this draft season with young centres like Auston Matthews and Jack Eichel being selected over former first-round staples like John Tavares and Steven Stamkos.

Fellow veterans Anze Kopitar, Patrice Bergeron and Claude Giroux are each looking to bounce-back after disappointing 2016-17 campaigns. While Mark Scheifele and Leon Draisaitl look to prove that last season was no fluke, elevating their draft stock to new heights this fall.
