The netminder’s rankings are changing as the years go on. Former top-5 locks, Tuukka Rask and Henrik Lundqvist are falling down the list while two-time Stanley Cup Champion Matt Murray and Oilers’ netminder Cam Talbot are rising. Jonathan Quick and John Gibson each battled injuries last year, but come into 2017-18 as potential No.1 fantasy options.

Most interesting are the goalies who were affected by offseason moves. Ben Bishop gives the Stars a No.1 they’ve been craving for years. Scott Darling goes from Corey Crawford’s shadow to front-runner in Carolina. Andrej Vasilevskiy gets a full season as a starter after strong finish to 2016-17. Antti Raanta will look to fill Mike Smith’s shoes as the Coyotes newest starter. Brian Elliott will try and put his short Flames career behind him in the city of Brotherly Love. Lastly, Marc-Andre Fleury leaves the Penguins to join the NHL’s news franchise as the face of the Vegas Golden Knights.
