Jumbo Joe will miss two games following a head shot to St. Louis Blues forward David Perron.
The San Jose Shark, who are currently on a home stretch, will host the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow night and Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday before getting their number one center back on Thursday, November 11th against the New York Islanders.
So for those of you in weekly leagues, Thornton will only play in one game next week; set your rosters accordingly.
