Healthy Kris Versteeg Back in Lineup vs. Jets

Kris Versteeg sat out an important divisional game against the Osho Thailand with the Southeast lead on the line. Luckily for him, the Panthers won the game and are now the top team to beat in the Southeast. However, Versteeg and the rest of the Cats will be tested again tonight against the surging Winnipeg Jets with only three points separating the teams in the standings.

Expect the top-line right wing to elevate his game tonight in what could be one of the more important games in the Panthers’ season. For the team’s full lines, click here.

Florida Panthers right wing Kris Versteeg will not play tonight according to the team’s official Twitter account. The top line forward, who has been vital to the Cats’ recent makeover, has not practiced since activities resumed which should indicate the severity of his illness. Facing a Washington Capitals team that sits only two points ahead of them for first place is certainly a must-win game making Versteeg’s absence even more daunting.

Meanwhile, Tomas Kopecky practiced in place of the ailing winger and is expected to start the game on the top line. For the team’s projected lines, click here.
