Marc-Andre Fleury stymies Flyers

Marc-Andre Fleury put on a show Saturday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.

The former Penguins’ netminder stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Golden Knights shutout the Flyers 1-0 to end a three-game losing streak (0-3-0).

It was the 49th career NHL shutout for Fleury, who made several impressive saves, including two brilliant gloves stops on Philadelphia captain Claude Giroux:

Fleury helped shutdown two Philadelphia power plays and made 10 saves during a frantic second period in which the Flyers were applying intense pressure.

The veteran netminder will look to stay healthy for a full season in Vegas after posting a 29-13-4 record in 46 appearances with the club in 2017-18.

The Golden Knights are off to a slow start after making it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final in their Inaugural NHL season. The team was carried to victory by Fleury on Saturday and now currently own a 2-4-0 record.
