Martin St. Louis is a game-time decision against Wild

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis is a game-time decision for tonight’s game against Minnesota, because of a foot injury.

St. Louis was injured on Tuesday when he took a Drew Doughty shot off of the foot. He underwent x-rays which came back negative, revealing no broken bones. Tampa Bay head coach Jon Cooper said that St. Louis can not do any further damage to his foot by playing on it, it comes down to whether or not he can withstand the pain.

The 38-year-old led the NHL in points last season and has picked up right where he left off. He has recorded four goals and six assists (10 points – 2nd in NHL) in six games.

If St. Louis can not play, then Brett Connolly, who was recalled on Wednesday, would make his season debut alongside Steven Stamkos and Ryan Malone.

The puck drops at 7:30 PM EST in Tampa Bay, so St. Louis’ status will likely be revealed during warmups at 7:00 PM.
