12/30/11: Colorado Avalanche leading goal scorer Matt Duchene will miss at least four weeks with a knee injury according to Adrian Dater of The Denver Post. Duchene was injured in Thursday night’s game after hitting a rut in the ice. He was relegated to just 2:23 of ice time.

The Avs will be hard pressed to replace the Haliburton, Ont., native. Although he is not their leading scorer or top minutes eater, the former 3rd overall pick has helped the Avs to a respectable 20-18-1 record through 39 games.
