Montreal Canadiens re-sign top goalie Carey Price

The fans in Montreal can stop rioting.

We all knew Carey Price would take over the number one role. This fact became apparent when the Canadiens failed to retain Dan Ellis and opted for a more obvious backup in Alex Auld.

Look for Price to now officially take over the lead between the pipes, his pedigree could allow him to perform similarly to counterpart Jaroslav Halak. We will continue to monitor if he can actually hit that potential this season.
