Line Stacks

Vegas Golden Knights 1 (Pacioretty – Karlsson – Stone)

The Golden Knights’ top-line has been ridiculous during the postseason, averaging an astronomically high 49.3 ScoringChancesFor/60. In tonight’s two-game slate, no player has averaged more DraftKings Points in the second-round than Pacioretty (19.03 DKPT/gm). VGK1 will go head-to-head with the Bo Horvat line more than half the time and VAN1 is giving up 52.0 SCA/60 in the postseason. In the series they have a SCF% of 64.3 and ExpectedGoalsFor% of 67.1, showcasing their 5v5 dominance.

New York Islanders 1 (Lee – Barzal – Eberle)

The Flyers have been vocal in the media that they are about to breakthrough and are ready to get back into this series. Saying that and doing that are two totally different things. Even if Philly extends the series, the Islanders’ top-line looks like a good option. They often go up against the Kevin Hayes line and that is an excellent, high-event matchup. Lee is the only one on the line that has scored in the series but Barzal and Eberle have combined for six assists in four games.

Value Plays

Nicolas Roy (VGK) — $2,700

Vegas’ third line has been strong all series, posting a 60.2 CF%, 74.3 xGF% and 64.9 SCF%. Roy is extremely cheap but has been playing consistent minutes with consistent production. He has two assists in four games vs. Vancouver while averaging 1.5 shots and 1.5 blocks per game, for a 4.2 DK Point floor. Roy paired with Alex Tuch ($4,600) is a solid, cheap mini-stack.

James van Riemsdyk (PHI) — $3,900

van Riemsdyk has had a tough time since the restart, failing to record a point in nine playoff games. However, he has fired two shots on goal in three straight games and was recently promoted to the top power-play unit in Game 4. van Riemsdyk is a contrarian play that will be very low-owned and could pop in a goal in his 15 minutes.

Scott Mayfield (NYI) — $3,300

Mayfield is one of the most consistent value defensemen on the slate. He plays consistent minutes, averaging nearly 19 minutes per game in the playoffs. In the series, he has one assist while averaging 1.5 shots 2.3 blocked shots per game–that’s 7.9 DKPts/gm. He doesn’t have high offensive upside but at $3,300 you will gladly three blocked shot one assist game.

Goalie Plays

Robin Lehner (VGK) — $8,100

Jacob Markstrom’s status for Game 5 is up in the air, making the Golden Knights even bigger favourites. With the Flyers/Islanders game being a toss-up, Lehner is by far the safest play on the slate. There’s also a chance that Marc-Andre Fleury ($7,900) gets the nod and he’s an equally strong play and $200 cheaper. Vancouver is averaging 28.5 shots per game, so there’s a decent amount of save upside for Lehner/Fleury.
