Olli Jokinen suspended three games for crosscheck

Calgary Flames center Olli Jokinen will miss the next three games for cross-checking Phoenix Coyotes forward Wojtek Wolski in the head.

Playing primarily on the second line, Jokinen has been a disappointment with only two goals and is a far cry from his career-high of 39 goals set back in 2006-2007 with the Florida Panthers.  In his absence, expect Mikael Backlund or Brendan Morrison to take his place between Curtis Glencross and Rene Bourque.

Regardless, with the Flames losing three straight and seven of their last eight, you can expect a few more line changes than just replacing Jokinen at pivot.

Jokinen will miss a home game against the Chicago Blackhawks then two road games against the Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers, respectively.  His return will come when the team travels to New Jersey to face the Devils.
