Upshall (undisclosed) not expected to play on Thursday.

Upshall missed the entire third period on Tuesday vs. the Kings and was not on the ice for the Panthers’ game day skate. Sean Bergenheim and Rocco Grimaldi were splitting time in Upshall’s spot, so don’t look for him to be in the lineup tonight in San Jose.

Upshall is out for Saturday's game vs Detroit with a lower-body injury.

Upshall's injury is not believed to be serious, but it will keep him out of tomorrow's contest. This is a tough break for the Panthers as they look to move to 3-0-0 vs. the Red Wings, but they will have to do so without their second leading scorer. Upshall has posted 18 points (6G / 12A) in 35 games.
