Ellis has gone 3-1-1 with a 1.95 GAA and .929 SV% in five starts since being recalled. Roberto Luongo is still out, so Ellis will make his sixth straight start. He draws a tough matchup with the Canadiens in town.

Ellis allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Panthers 4-3 shootout win over the Islanders on Saturday. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.77 GAA and .900 SV% since being recalled. Tonight he will take on a Jets team who have alternated losses and wins in their last seven games.

Ellis allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Panthers loss to the Stars on Thursday. With Roberto Luongo still out, Ellis will start again vs. the Islanders. Tough time to take over the crease; Stars then Isles? Yikes. There are better options to be found tonight.

Ellis will make his first NHL start of the season. He has gone 22-11-3 with a 2.70 GAA and .906 SV% in 36 starts with San Antonio (AHL) this season. He is not a great option against the Stars—he went 0-5-0 with a 4.81 GAA and .836 SV% with the Panthers last season.

Ellis, 34, has been recalled because both Roberto Luongo and Al Montoya were injured last night vs. Toronto. If neither is available tomorrow, expect Ellis to start vs. Dallas. The veteran net minder has gone 22-11-3 with a 2.70 GAA and .906 SV% with San Antonio.

Ellis did not get into a game during his recall, but his return to the AHL suggests that Roberto Luongo is back to full health and could start on Monday.

Ellis has gone 8-4-0 with a 2.13 GAA and .918 SV% in 12 games with San Antonio. He has been recalled to backup Al Montoya tonight with Roberto Luongo sidelined with an arm injury.

Roberto Luongo will start and Scott Clemmensen will be his back-up with Ellis out with an illness. Consider him day-to-day.
