Injury
Brodie (hand) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.
Brodie has missed the five nine games of the season with a broken hand, but now he is just over four weeks into a 3-6 week timetable and could return to the lineup tonight. Brodie started practicing on Sunday and was skating alongside Mark Giordano in the morning skate, which is a good sign that he will return. However, he has been officially labeled as a game-time decision so monitor his status during pre-game warmups, which start at 7:00 pm ET.

Injury
Brodie is expected to miss 3-6 weeks with a broken bone in his right hand.
This is a tough break for Brodie and the Flames to start the season. If he misses just three weeks, he would only miss the first week of the season, but there is a chance he could be sidelined until the first week of November. With Brodie out, the Flames will have to find someone to fill in—Tyler Wotherspoon and Jakub Nakladal are likely the front runners.

Signing
Flames officially announce a five-year, $23.25 million contract extension with T.J Brodie.
Brodie has come into his own in the last two years playing alongside Mark Giordano. The 24-year-old is an excellent skater with a great first pass and hard shot. On Sunday he scored his third goal of the season, which gives him seven points on the year and a six-game point streak. He was featured in our 'Fantasy Minute' and should be added if he is available in your league.
