Kassian (concussion) will not play in the Oilers season opener.

Kassian sustained a concussion in the preseason and will miss tonight’s game vs. the Canucks but could be back for Saturday’s meeting with the Flames. With Kassian out, the Oilers signed Colton Sceviour to a one-year contract today and he will play on the third line.

Kassian's status for the Oilers season opener is up in the air. If he is unable to play on Wednesday, the Oilers may have to sign Colton Sceviour to take his place.
