The Maple Leafs have signed Curtis Glencross to a professional tryout (PTO).
Glencross had seven points (4G / 3A) in 18 games after being acquired by the Capitals last season. He spent the previous six and a half seasons with the Flames, but played an average of just 65 games per season over than span. He has battled injury concerns, but has averaged 37 goals (17G / 20A) per 65 games.

Line Change
Glencross will return to the Capitals lineup for Game 7.
Glencross has been a healthy scratch in the last three games, but will get back into the lineup for Game 7. The Capitals will get the 32-year-old Glencross in and take 23-year-old Michael Latta out in a pivotal game 7. The Capitals are opting to get a little more experience in the lineup tonight. Glencross has four goals and three assists (7 points) in 21 games (18 in regular season) since being acquired by the Capitals.

Glencross is expected to make his Capitals debut on Tuesday.
Glencross has scored nine goals and 19 assists (28 points) in 53 games with the Flames before being acquired on Sunday. He is expected to skate on the Capitals second line with Evgeny Kuznetsov an Troy Brouwer, as well as see some power-play time.

Trade
The Flames have traded Curtis Glencross to the Capitals for a 2nd and a 3rd round pick.
Glencross is a pending unrestricted free agent this summer, so the Flames have moved him out for some assets. Glencross is a speedy two-way forward who will help the Capitals top-9. Glencross has nine goals and 19 assists (28 points) in 53 games with Calgary this season.

Injury
Glencross had no points in 13:48 in his return to the Flames lineup on Monday.
Glencross had missed the previous 10 games with a lower-body injury, but was back on the third line on Monday vs. the Sharks. He was eased back into the lineup but should be able to work his way back up the depth chart.

Glencross was available for Wednesday’s practice, but will not return to the lineup tonight vs. Minnesota. It will be the fifth straight game that Glencross has missed—consider him day-to-day.

Flames head coach Bob Hartley said that Glencross isn’t far off from a return, could see him back as early as Thursday. Glencross will miss his fourth consecutive game today.

The Flames have placed Curtis Glencross (lower-body) on injured reserve.
Glencross missed Saturday’s game in San Jose and will not play tonight in L.A. He has been placed on IR, but will be eligible to return to the lineup after the All Star break. His movement to IR allowed the team to activate Josh Jooris.

Glencross suffered a lower-body injury against the Coyotes on Thursday. On Friday coach Bob Hartley listed him as doubtful and he did not take part in the morning skate, so do not expect to see Glencross tonight in San Jose. With Glencross out, Lance Bouma skated in the Flames top-6 this morning.

Glencross missed Thursday's practice because he was sick, but he is expected to be in the lineup tomorrow. Monitor his status during the morning skate to be sure, but if for some reason he is unable to play, expect Josh Jooris to get the call.

Glencross (ankle) will return to the Flames lineup Wednesday.
Glencross has not played since December 21 because of a high-ankle sprain but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Ducks. Glencross will skate on the third like with T.J Galliardi and Brian McGrattan. He had 12 points (6G / 6A) in 21 games before getting injured.
