The Ducks have recalled Reto Berra from San Diego (AHL).

John Gibson is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, so Berra has been called up to backup Ryan Miller on Wednesday. If Gibson is going to miss this weekend’s games, Berra will remain up with the big club.

Berra served as Ryan Miller’s backup while John Gibson (lower-body) was out, but with Gibson set to return on Friday, Berra went back to the Gulls. Berra has gone 12-7-0 with a 2.58 GAA and .923 SV% with San Diego this season.

Berra was recently assigned to San Diego and stopped 38 of 41 shots in his only AHL start of the season. IN two games with the Ducks he has allowed three goals on 25 shots and tonight he will backup Ryan Miller with John Gibson in concussion protocol.

Since being called up, Berra has gone 0-2-0 while stopped 49 of 54 shots (.907 SV%) in one start and three relief appearances. He will be in tough tonight as he goes head-to-head with Carey Price.

Berra has gone 12-14-2 with a 2.53 GAA and .910 SV% in 31 games with Springfield this season and he has been called up to serve as James Reimer’s backup while Roberto Luongo nurses a lower-body injury.

The Panthers have recalled Reto Berra from Springfield (AHL).

Berra has gone 9-8-2 with a 2.24 GAA and .917 SV% in 20 games with Springfield this season. Berra’s recall suggests that there is something wrong with either Roberto Luongo or James Reimer, so expect an update later today. Berra has posted a career .906 SV% in 64 NHL games with the Flames and Avalanche.

The Panthers have acquired Reto Berra from the Avalanche for Rocco Grimaldi.

After the emergence of Calvin Pickard, Berra spent the second half of the 2015-16 season with San Antonio (AHL). He was 7-7-0 with a 3.39 GAA and .901 SV% with the Rampage and 5-8-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .922 SV% in 14 games with Colorado.

With Berra battling injuries, Calvin Pickard emerged as a legit NHL netminder, so Berra finds himself in the AHL. Berra is 2-2-0 with a 2.92 GAA and .915 SV% in four games with San Antonio and 5-8-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .922 SV% with the Avalanche.

The Avalanche have reassigned Reto Berra to San Antonio (AHL).

Berra has been sent to San Antonio on a conditioning stint because he has not appeared in an NHL game since December 12th because of an ankle injury.

Berra made 27 saves on 28 shots in Colorado’s win in New Jersey on December 1st. Semyon Varlamov started the last three games, but Berra will start tonight vs. the Penguins. In Berra’s first start against Pittsburgh, he allowed four goals on 30 shot in a 4-3 loss. The Pens come in having lost four of their last five while averaging just 2.40 goals per game.

Berra allowed one goal on 13 shots after replacing Semyon Varalmov in Colorado’s loss to the Senators last Wednesday. Varlamov has started the last four games, including last night, so it looks like Berra will go tonight in New Jersey. Berra has been terrible lately, losing three in a row while posting a 5.60 GAA and .821 SV%. Tonight he faces a Devils squad that has dropped four of their last six.
