Line Change
Weiss will be a healthy scratch on Monday.
Weiss had a brutal game in Boston on Saturday. He turned the puck over on the power-play twice, both of which turned into shorthanded goals for the B’s. It is safe to say, he didn’t see much ice time after that, playing just 8:18 on the night. He will sit in favour of Tomas Jurco.

Injury
Weiss (head) will be in the lineup on Saturday vs. Ottawa.
Weiss left Tuesday’s game with an apparent head injury, but will not miss any more action as a result. He said he was a little “woozy” after the hit, but is fine now and will be in the lineup tonight. He will skate on the second line with Riley Sheahan and Tomas Tatar.

Injury
Weiss (shoulder) will return to the Red Wings lineup on Tuesday.
Weiss has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury, but he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Buffalo. Without Weiss in the lineup, the Red Wings went 0-2-2 so he should provide a nice offensive boost tonight. Weiss skated on the Wings’ fourth line with Luke Glendening and Drew Miller as well as on the second power-play unit

Injury
Weiss (shoulder) might play on Sunday vs. the Avalanche.
Weiss will miss Friday’s game because he is not eligible to come off of IR, but he could be back on the Sunday against Colorado. If he returns on Sunday, he will have missed three games with the shoulder injury. Weiss recorded 10 points (4G / 6A) in 10 games prior to getting injured.

Injury
The Red Wings have placed Stephen Weiss (shoulder) on injured reserve.
Weiss will miss his second straight game tonight. They have placed him on IR to make room for Xavier Ouellet to stay with the club. There is still no timetable for Weiss’ return, but his placement on IR means he will miss at least tonight’s game, but he is eligible to return on Thursday.

Injury
Weiss (shoulder) did not practice on Monday.
Weiss’ shoulder injury is not expected to be as serious as his teammate Justin Abdelkader’s shoulder injury, but it looks like it will keep him out of tomorrow’s game vs. the Blue Jackets. He remains without a timetable for his return.

Injury
Weiss (shoulder) will not play on Saturday.
Weiss suffered a shoulder injury on Friday night and will miss tonight’s game. Weiss is on the trip with the team but will be evaluated today to determine the nature and severity of the injury. This is a tough break for a player who is constantly out of the lineup, but had picked up 10 points (4G / 6A) in 10 games since returning from a groin injury. Expect Dan Cleary to be in the lineup tonight vs. Toronto.

Injury
Weiss missed practice for personal reasons; expect to play Saturday.
Well I am sure Weiss’ absence at practice this morning worried a ton of Red Wings fans and fantasy owners who just picked him up. He has been sizzling since returning to the lineup and should be in for another good game tomorrow vs. New York. His one downside, you would like to see him play more, he is averaging just 12:17 TOI in seven games.

Injury
Weiss (groin) did not take part in the Red Wings’ practice on Friday.
Weiss was listed as a game-time decision for Thursday’s game, but did play and actually recorded a goal and two assists, which gives him nine points (4G / 5A) in seven games since returning from injury. This is the Stephen Weiss that the Red Wings were expecting when they signed him to a fat contract, but with the recent success you have to remember he is as big of an injury risk as any player in the NHL. Monitor his status prior to Saturday’s clash with the Rangers.

Line Change
Weiss will play on Monday vs. Ottawa.
Tonight will be Weiss’ second game of the season and just the 28th game that he has played in the last two seasons with Detroit. He had a successful conditioning stint and the Wings’ are hoping he will be able to stay healthy for an extended period of time. The former four-time 20-plus goal scorer will play on the third line with Darren Helm and Tomas Jurco as well as on the second power-play.
