The Wild have recalled Stephane Veilleux from Iowa (AHL).

With Zach Parise nursing a lower-body injury, the Wild have recalled Veilleux, who skated in his 11th game this season on Monday. He has no points and a minus-5 rating this season.

The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Stephane Veilleux from the Iowa Wild (AHL).

Veilleux has skated in 10 games with Minnesota this season and has tallied 101 points (46-55=101) and 323 penalty minutes (PIM) in 470 NHL games with Minnesota, Tampa Bay and New Jersey. He ranks fifth in Wild history in hits (407), eighth in games played (392), ninth in PIM (275) and 11th in shots (565).

Minnesota has placed Stephane Veilleux on waivers. If he clears Thursday, will be assigned to Iowa (AHL).

Veilleux has no points and a minus-4 rating while averaging 7:10 TOI in 10 games with Minnesota. This a good sign that forward Charlie Coyle (lower-body) could return to the lineup on Friday.

The Wild has recalled forwards Jake Dowell, Mikael Granlund and Stephane Veilleux from Houston of the AHL.

Veilleux notched eight points (3-5=8) and 45 PIM in 33 regular season games with the Aeros this season and added one assist, six penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating in three playoff games with Houston.

The 31-year-old Veilleux has just 8 points in 33 games in the AHL this season. This move bring some NHL experience experience to a team who is slumping right now. He has 101 career points in 460 NHL games.

The Wild landed forwards Nick Palmieri and Stephane Veilleux, defenseman Kurtis Foster, a second round pick in 2012 and a conditional third round pick in 2013 from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for defenseman Marek Zidlicky.

The Wild are expected to carry Veilleux as an extra forward. He has no points in one game this season.

The Devils have returned left wing Stephane Veilleux to Albany of the AHL. Veilleux made his Devils’ debut on Feb. 14 in Buffalo and did not register a point. He has been a healthy scratch for the last three games.

The journeyman Veilleux has no fantasy hockey value in the minors.
