Boyes will be back in the Maple Leafs lineup on Monday.

After registering four assists in his first eight games with the Maple Leafs, Boyes served as a healthy scratch for the last two games. He will be reinserted into the lineup tonight vs. the Stars.

On Sunday, the Maple Leafs signed Brad Boyes to a one-year deal worth $700K.

Boyes, 33, spent the last two seasons in Florida, where he collected 35 goals and 39 assists (74 points) in 156 games. Boyes was one of a few players who were brought into Maple Leafs training camp on PTO’s but was the only one to receive a contract. Boyes will battle with Michael Grabner, P.A Parenteau and Richard Panik for playing time in the Leafs’ top six.

The Maple Leafs have signed Brad Boyes to a professional tryout (PTO).

Boys, 33, collected 14 goals and 24 assists (38 points) in 78 games with the Panthers last season. Boyes has a career high of 72 points (2008-09) but has averaged 18 goals and 26 assists (44 points) per 82 games in the last three seasons. The Maple Leafs are thin upfront, so they have brought in a number of veteran forwards to compete for a roster spot.

Boyes (back) will likely return to the Panthers lineup on Tuesday.

Boys has missed the last three games with back spams, but should be back in tonight vs. the Flyers. He was reunited with Nick Bjugstad and Sean Bergenheim on the Panthers top line in the morning skate, so all signs point towards him returning this evening. Boyes has tallied 20 goals and 14 assists (34 points) in 75 games this season.

The Panthers have agreed to a two-year, $2.625 million US AAV deal with Brad Boyes.

Boyes' name had been dangled out there on the trade market if the Panthers were unable to re-sign him, but this deal keeps him in Florida for the next two seasons. He has 17 goals and 11 assists (28 points) in 59 games this season.

Boyes was benched in the third period on Friday and could be a healthy scratch on Sunday.

He was skating on the fifth line in Panther's practice this morning. It appears he will be a healthy scratch despite being the Panthers leading goal scorer, four goals in 11 games.

The Florida Panthers have signed Brad Boyes to a one-year deal. Boyes had been in camp on a tryout basis.

Boyes, who had 10 goals and 25 assists with the Islanders last year had a great camp with Florida. Boyes has been playing with Kris Versteeg and rookie Alexsander Barkov in the preseason, so it appears that will be a line to start the season. “He’s a scorer and he has to play with skill players, complementary guys,” GM Dale Tallon said. “Obviously we didn’t score very much last year. We need guys who can put the puck in the net and make plays. He’s one of those guys who can do that. Forward Brad Boyes and defenseman Robyn Regehr were not on the ice, with coach Lindy Ruff saying both got "maintenance days" and should be ready to play Thursday.

Sounds like both players needed a rest after playing last night. Boyes has only three goals and 13 points through 43 games which has relegated him mostly to fourth line duties.
