Pasquale will start Tuesday in Montreal.
Pasquale allowed five goals on 24 shots in a 6-5 shootout win in Detroit on December 4th—his only NHL appearance of the season. The 28-year-old has spent the majority of the season and his career in the AHL, where he was 25-12-3 with a 2.37 GAA and .916 SV% this year.

With Andrei Vasilevskiy reportedly out for “a while” with a fractured left foot, Pasquale comes up to backup Louis Domingue. The 27-year-old has no NHL experience and is 4-2-0 with a 2.85 GAA and .896 SV%. Domingue will likely see a heavy workload while Vasilevskiy’s out, meaning Pasquale could backup for a few games and then swap out with Connor Ingram so both goalies stay fresh in the AHL.

Pasquale, 23, was 17-13-1 with a 2.43 GAA and .920 SV% in 31 games with the St. John's IceCaps last season. He will likely find himself with the Hershey Bears in 2014-15.

More news to come on the severity of Al Montoya's injury that forced him to leave yesterday's game. It is serious enough that the Jets had to recall Pasquale who is 14-19-2 with a 2.63 GAA and .912 SV% this season in the AHL. Ondrej Pavelec will likely see almost all the starts going forward.
