Mike Fisher News

Fisher (Achilles) is skating in a no-contact jersey.

This is the first time that Fisher has skated with his teammates since rupturing his Achilles in a training session this summer. He was expected to miss 4-6 months and mid-November will mark the four month point, so it looks like he is on track to return at the front end of that timetable.

Fisher (achilles) has resumed skating and hopes to return next month.

Fisher ruptured his Achillies in a training session this Summer. His original timetable was four-to-six months and next month will mark the four month mark. The Predators added a lot of veteran help at centre, so don't expect Fisher to rush back.

Fisher will miss 4-6 months after rupturing his Achilles during a training session in early July.

Fisher is expected to miss at least the first two months of the regular season. Fisher finished fourth on the Predators with 49 points (20G / 29A) in 75 games last season. With Fisher out, the Predators went out and singed Mike Ribeiro and Derek Roy each to one-year contracts on Tuesday.

Fisher (lower-body) will take warmups and is a game-time decision.

Fisher has missed the last four games but could return tonight vs. the Penguins. If Fisher is unable to go tonight, he will likely play tomorrow vs. the Blackhawks. The Predators will hit the ice for warmups at 6:30 pm EST, his status should be known closer to puck drop.

Fisher (lower-body) will not play tonight.

Fisher will miss his third consecutive contest after being injured in the second period on October 2 versus Los Angeles. Fisher has been practicing, but consider him questionable for Tuesday when Nashville faces the Islanders.

Fisher has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury. Predators head coach Barry Trotz said there is a chance that Fisher could return to the lineup tonight. Fisher has two goals and three assists in seven games.

Fisher (lower-body) is day-to-day.

Predators head coach Barry Trotz said it will be up to Fisher whether or not he’ll be ready for Thursday’s game against Winnipeg. I did notice Fisher was walking with a bit of a limp in the locker room area, so I’d bet on him sitting out at least one more night.

According to coach Barry Trotz, Predators forward Mike Fisher (hand injury) will not play in tonight’s game against the Calgary Flames. On Monday, Fisher said he was “hoping to play” in the game.

Fisher injured his hand on March 25 against the Phoenix Coyotes, and has been out since the Predators’ April 7 game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Mike Fisher is hoping to return to the lineup Tuesday. Fisher has missed nine of the team’s last 11 games with a hand injury he suffered on Mar. 28 while blocking a shot.

The Predators will play at home Tuesday night against Calgary before hitting the road to face Detroit and Columbus in the final two contests.
