Stastny missed last Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury, but was on the ice for Tuesday’s practice and will be in the lineup on Wednesday. Stastny has seven goals and 10 assists (17 points) i 34 games this season.

Stastny missed Sunday’s game, but his injury update was about the only good news the Blues received on Monday. He is day-to-day, but could play on Tuesday vs. the Devils. Monitor his status during the Blues’ morning skate.

Stastny played just 4:26 before retiring to the dressing room for the evening. Following Friday’s game, Ken Hitchcock did not have an update on Stastny, so consider him questionable for Saturday’s contest.

Stastny is expected to move up to the second line.
Stastny played very well on the Blues second line with Jori Lehtera was out, he was bumped back to the third line when Lehtera returned, but will get that promotion again, just three games later. Stastny has two goals and four assists in his last eight games.

Stastny (shoulder) has been cleared for contact; could play later this week.
Stastny will miss his seventh straight game tonight and will likely miss his eighth tomorrow, but getting in a couple contact practices over the next few days could have him back in the lineup on Thursday vs. New Jersey or Saturday against the Predators.

Stastny (shoulder) is skating at Blues practice this morning.
Stastny is not taking part in line rushes or shooting, but he continues to skate as he works his way back from a shoulder injury. Not shooting is not an encouraging sign that he is getting close, but it is a step in the right direction.

The Blues have placed Paul Stastny (shoulder) on injured reserve.
Stastny has skated the last two days, but has yet to start shooting the puck. He remains week-to-week and his designation to IR allowed the Blues to recall Dmitrij Jaskin from Chicago, but he is eligible to return to the lineup whenever he is healthy.
Stastny (shoulder) skated for the second straight day, but still not shooting.
It is a good sign that Stastny is back on the ice, but he is plagued by a shoulder injury, so don't get too excited until he starts shooting the biscuit. He will miss his third game in a row on Saturday and his week-to-week status has not changed.

Week-to-week is a very vague timetable, but expect him to miss at least one week and be re-evaluated after that. He had one goal and three assists in his first four games with the Blues.

Stastny left Saturday's game with an arm injury an did not return. He was injured when he was hit into the boards and was spotted leaving the arena with his arm in a sling. The Blues would only say that he won't play tonight, but would not go any further. Consider him day-to-day for now.
