The Capitals acquired Scott Kosmachuk, a 2020 second-round pick and 2020 third round pick from the Avalanche for Andre Burakovsky.

Kosmachuk is a pending unrestricted free agent, who had 12 goals and 11 assists (23 points) in 54 AHL games with the Colorado Eagles last season. The 25-year-old was a third-round pick in 2012 but has played just eight NHL games since.

The Jets have reassigned Scott Kosmachuk to Manitoba (AHL).

Kosmachuk appeared in eight games with the Jets during his call-up, picking up three assists while averaging 11:32 TOI. He returns to Manitoba where he has 27 points (14G / 13A) in 59 games.

The Jets have recalled Scott Kosmachuk from Manitoba (AHL).

Kosmachuk, 22, was a third round pick (70th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Kosmachuk has 27 points (14G / 13A) in 59 games with Manitoba and with Joel Armia out, Kosmachuk will make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
