The Flyers have signed Tyler Wotherspoon to a two-year, two way contract.

The Flames re-signed Tyler Wotherspoon to a one-year deal.
Wotherspoon, 23, spent the majority of last season with Stockton (AHL), where he had 10 points (2G / 8A) in 53 games, but also appeared in 11 games with Calgary. Wotherspoon will likely start the 2016-17 campaign with Stockton, but will be one of the first defensemen recalled.

Wotherspoon will be a healthy scratch in Game 3.
Wotherspoon has failed to record a point and has been limited to just 6:39 TOI/GP in six playoff games so far. The 22-year-old will take a seat with the more experience Rapheal Diaz getting back into the lineup after missing the last 12 games with a lower-body injury.

Wotherspoon, 22, has registered 24 points (2G / 22A) in 61 games with Adirondack this season. He has registered four assists in 14 career NHL games. He has been recalled because Raphael Diaz is questionable for Saturday.

Wotherspoon was recalled before the All Star break and reassigned during the break. He never got into a game during his latest recall, but he could be in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Sabres.

Wotherspoon left Monday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return, however he is on the ice this morning an will play vs. the Ducks tonight. He is a big-boy at 6-foot-2, 203 lbs. and has recorded one assist in his first three NHL games since being recalled last week.

Wotherspoon will make his NHL debut on Friday.
Wotherspoon has one goal and eight assists (nine points) in 48 games with the Abbotsford Heat (AHL) this season. He was a second round pick (57th overall) in 2011.
