Stanley Cup Finals Game 5: Projected Lineups & Game Notes

Stanley Cup Finals Game 5: Projected Lineups & Game Notes
After winning games 2, 3 and 4, the Washington Capitals are back in Las Vegas looking to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise
history.

In addition to it being the first Cup ever for the Washington Capitals, Alex Ovechkin would also become the first Russian captain to ever win the Stanley Cup.

The Vegas Golden Knights won’t go down without a fight though. They’ve been one of the toughest teams in the NHL on home-ice this season and T-Mobile Arena has been one of the loudest buildings during these playoffs. The Golden Knights have also gone 2-0 in Game 5s during the playoffs while the Capitals are 2-1.

Vegas is expected to be the only team to make any lineup changes. David Perron is expected to draw back in after being a healthy scratch for Game 4, replacing Ryan Carpenter on the third line. Will Carrier is also expected to return, taking Ryan Reaves’ spot on the fourth line.
