@Taylor Hall is sticking around in Boston.

The Bruins announced on Friday that the winger has agreed to a four-year contract worth $6 million annually.

The Bruins acquired Hall at the trade deadline from the Buffalo Sabres and he produced 14 points in 16 regular-season games and five points in 11 playoff games.

It’s no surprise to see Hall stick around in Boston long-term. Throughout Hall’s entire career, he had never been on a legitimate contender until he arrived in Boston.

Hall was drafted by the Edmonton first overall in 2010 and he spent his first six seasons in the league on the basement-dwelling Oilers. He was then dealt to the New Jersey Devils and made the playoffs for the first time in his career in 2017-18, the year he won MVP. Hall also made stops in Arizona and Buffalo and this summer with the Bruins represented the first time he reached the second round.

This is also quite the value deal for Boston. Getting Hall locked up for only $6 million on a reasonable term is a tidy piece of business, especially considering there’s word that @Zach Hyman is commanding seven or eight years on the open market.

The contract, as first reported by PuckPedia, includes three different movement clauses in the deal.
