The Cheat Sheet: March 19th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 10 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Saturday’s Sheet:

– *Rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble*. Just simmer down. The system simply doesn’t see Anaheim as a +155 underdog against their rivals up the I-5. We’ve got the Ducks winning this game 46% of the time.

– St. Louis is in a way tougher spot. Their number here is 39% (to win).

– The Boston Bruins–yikes. They’re playing Maple Leaf caliber defense right now. Both of these teams are lucky to have the goaltenders that they have. The prediction here is that Tim Thomas out-duels James Reimer here in a back-and-forth affair.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
