The Heritage Classic sponsorship trumps Winter Classic. This news apparently shocks the NHL, but I’m not sure it would shock most Canadians. Regardless, our very own Kevin Dupuis will be covering the Classic later this month, stay tuned.

Clearly I have never understood why Seguin ever compared to Taylor Hall at the draft or in his progression, but he seems like a nice, two-way player.

Patrick Hoffman at RLD Hockey takes on the Alexander Ovechkin conundrum. Despite his flailing statistics and frustrating statistics, he is still a pretty-darn-good player in roto. Not first overall good, but top 10.

If you drafted Lubomir Visnovsky this season it probably came as a bargain. The 34-year-old ranks third in scoring for defensemen, behind only Nicklas Lidstrom and the shockingly dominant Keith Yandle. Jonathan Willis of The Score takes Visnovsky’s success even further, nominating him for the Norris Trophy.
