Tough luck for Kings’ winger Scott Parse

Los Angeles Kings winger Scott Parse missed the majority of pre-season and 11 games of the regular season with a groin injury before returning to the lineup and skating next to stars Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown.  The top line, who have been searching for a good partner for the majority of the season, finally found that player in Parse– who put up four points in five games.

Unfortunately, Parse will now miss approximately three to four months with a torn hip labrum.  The 26-year-old seemed to finally catch a much deserved break (11 goals last season in limited role) but a tweak at the end of the third period against the San Jose Sharks clearly prevented that.

In his absence, Brad Richardson will take his place on the top line with Dwight King moving up to the third line.  For the full King’s combinations, click here.
