Tuesday NHL game between Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators delayed to “ensure health and safety”

Tuesday’s nights game between the Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators has been delayed.

In a statement, the NHL said “the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts.”

The two teams squared up Monday night in game one of a back-to-back series with the Hurricanes taking the game 4-2. Andrei Svechnikov, Vincent Trocheck, Sebastian Aho and Nino Niederreiter all scored for the Hurricanes.

No word yet on when the game will be re-scheduled for but the Hurricanes and Predators are scheduled to meet for a back-to-back at the end of the regular season.
