Vegas Golden Knights flip Cody Eakin to Winnipeg Jets for pick

Cody Eakin has found himself a new home the forward has been traded from the Vegas Golden Knights to the Winnipeg Jets, TSN’s Darren Dreger reported.

The deal sees the Jets giving up a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2021 that could become a 3rd if Eakin re-signs, or the Jets make the playoffs.

Eakin, 28, a Winnipeg-native, is in his 9th NHL season and has scored 102 goals and another 130 assists in 578 games. This year, Eakin has scored four goals and six assists in 41 games playing 14:39 a night.

According to Puckpedia, he’s in the final season of a four-year deal paying him an AAV of $3.85-million. He’s a UFA at season’s end.
