Johnson will join the team Tuesday and be eligible for Tuesday night's game against the New York Islanders at TD Garden. Johnson has skated in a total of eight games with Boston this season and has registered seven shots on goal. The winger made his Bruins debut on December 10 against the Flames in Calgary. Johnson has appeared in 24 games with Providence this year, notching 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points with a plus-seven rating.

Johnson has been recalled and will play tonight in Ottawa after Carl Soderberg suffered an injury last night and did not travel to Ottawa. In seven games with the Bruins, Johnson has averaged 9:44 TOI with no points and a minus-3 rating.

Johnson has 11 goals and nine assists (20 points) in 23 games with the Providence Bruins this seasons. He has played in 104 NHL games tallying 14 goals and 37 points with the Penguins, Wild and Coyotes. Daniel Paille is unable to play tonight so Johnson slides right into the lineup to make his Bruins debut.

Certainly lofty praise coming from the former NHLer Granato. The Calgary, Alberta native scored 20 goals and 39 points last season for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins. Look for him to possibly fill in on a scoring line should the Pens have more injuries.
