The recall is Da Costa's second stint with the big club after making the team out of training camp. Da Costa began the 2013-14 season with Ottawa and appeared in four of the club’s first seven games. During that span he was held scoreless and registered two penalty minutes. In 37 AHL games this season, Da Costa has scored 12 goals and added 25 assists for 37 points and a plus-11 rating. Da Costa’s 37 points leave him seventh in league scoring. He will be in the lineup tonight on a line with Colin Greening and Chris Neil.

Da Costa has no points and a plus-1 rating while averaging 11:27 TOI in four games.

Da Costa was insurance for the day-to-day forwards but wound up not playing. He has no fantasy hockey value while in the minors.

Da Costa could add another scoring line to the offensive Sens. Hopefully he can carry over some of his minor league confidence.

Da Costa has improved from last season but definitely needs some more seasoning in the AHL. Expect the collegiate standout to return to the big club at some point this season.

Da Costa will take the place of rookie Mika Zibanejad, who will return to Sweden.He has one goal through 13 career NHL games.

Last season, Da Costa scored 14 goals and 45 points with Merrimack College last season, earning an entry-level contract. He finished the year playing four games with the Sens, failing to register a point. He will get a long look to make the team.

Sounds more precautionary than anything. Last season, the collegiate standout was held scoreless through four games with the Sens last season. He is expected to play on the third line.

The Frenchman will battle Mike Zibanejad and Peter Regin for a chance to center the second line.
