The Blackhawks have acquired Drew MacIntyre from the Hurricanes for Dennis Robertson.

MacIntyre has gone 11-13-1 with a 3.09 GAA and .890 SV% in 28 games with Charlotte (AHL) this season. He was sent to the Blackhawks, where he provides Rockford (AHL) with goaltending depth.

The Hurricanes have assigned Drew MacIntyre to Charlotte (AHL).

MacIntyre was recalled to serve as Anton Khudobin’s backup last night with Cam Ward out with a minor lower-body injury. With MacIntyre heading back to the AHL that suggests that Ward is back to 100 percent and will be available for Sunday’s game vs. Detroit.

The Hurricanes have recalled Drew MacIntyre from Charlotte (AHL) on an emergency basis.

MacIntyre, 31, has posted a 6-8-1 record, a 2.82 GAA and a .909 SV% in 15 games with Charlotte this season. He has been recalled to serve as Anton Khudobin’s backup tonight, because Cam Ward (undisclosed) is not expected to be available.

The Hurricanes have signed Drew MacIntyre to a one-year contract worth $600K.

After losing Justin Peters in free agency, the Hurricanes have locked up MacIntyre for next season. MacIntyre was 29-15-3 with a 2.53 GAA and .917 SV% with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) last season. He is expected to start the season with the Hurricanes AHL affiliate Charlotte Checkers.

MacIntyre has played in five career NHL games, but has never started one of them. He has stopped 50 of 54 shots in games with the Canucks, Sabres and Leafs. WIth the Maple Leafs season over, MacIntyre will finally make his first NHL start at the age of 30. He went 27-15-3 with a 2.49 GAA and .918 SV% with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) before being recalled.

The Maple Leafs have recalled Drew MacIntyre from Toronto (AHL).

MacInyre's recall suggests that Jonathan Bernier will not suit up on Sunday vs. the Capitals. MacIntyre is 25-15-3 with a 2.47 GAA and .919 SV% with the Marlies this season. Look for James Reimer to start tomorrow.
